Our Technology
Our office firmly believes in offering proven technological advancements for the benefit of our patients. These improvements have helped dentistry come a long way!
Digital X-rays Although we try to limit the amount of dental x-ray images, they are necessary for a number of important reasons such as : • |
Looking for decay in between the teeth and under dental restorations
|
• |
Checking for bone loss caused by gum disease
|
• |
Identifying infections at the end of the root
|
• |
Examining areas before a dental procedure is commenced
|
• |
Assessing the position of implant crowns and prosthetics |
Here at our office our patients are provided with digital x-rays, using sensors, which results in : • |
Less radiation
|
• |
More accurate information
|
• |
Environmentally friendly due to not using harsh developer and fixer solutions
|
• |
Immediate viewing of images
|
• |
Ease of transferring dental records |
Diagnodent
Diagnodent—a Laser Fluorescence Cavity Detection Aid is a highly reliable and accurate instrument which can detect dental decay at its earliest stages while it is hidden within the deep grooves of the teeth. It allows us to treat cavities while they are small or follow their progress if they are too tiny to treat. Intra Oral Camera The intra oral camera allows us to capture images of the condition of your teeth and show them to you to assist you in visualizing the state of health of your mouth. We can save these images and track the progress of the dental situation happening your mouth. Computer Assisted Anesthesia System Known as The Wand, this is a state of the art digital delivery system for local anesthetic offering significant comfort and thereby decreasing patient anxiety. Patients prefer this system to the traditional syringe. The rate of flow and pressure of the local anesthetic is decreased creating an almost pain-free experience. Soft Tissue Laser Provides gentle removal of gum tissue eliminating the use of a scalpel and allows for quick healing. Pain from nasty mouth ulcers can be quickly lessened with the application of the laser. Computerized Dentistry
Single visit computerized dentistry has allowed our patients to benefit from receiving beautiful ceramic crowns, veneers, implant crowns, bridges and onlays. Messy impressions are eliminated as well as temporaries. This is done utilizing CAD/CAM technology where a computer assists in designing and fabricating these restorations right in our office while you wait.
